How to clean an old coin really?
I was near the river near my house this afternoon and saw a shaped stone circle. It closely resembled a coin and it was covered with rust. It's too big to be fourth and too small for half a dollar. I want to clean it, I do not like how it can be interesting. What is the best way was to stretch a rusty more coins? (Oh, and after a few flakes of rust it looks a little gold ... maybe silver ... just say where that helps).
You do not say my age is "very old" or if any money or copper coated or if the year indicates that a zinc coating of copper. If you are sure this is not something that is of great value, just put some ketchup on him and let stand for 15 minutes or so, then scrub with a damp cloth or cotton Teri did a great job (BTW, the ketchup is wonderful to use on other elements that need a little acid to clean them). But if your room is very old and some good value, simply contact the dealer nearest room or a hobby store (and ask someone knowledgeable parts) and ask them what is available locally, which is used to clean parts. You can order something online, but then you do not really know how good it is. It is better to ask what is used by local collectors. You can also go on ebay and check parts. Find a coin collection that is trading / selling and ask what they use. But then you would still know if it is sold locally or order it online and wait until you finally achieve.
