Can I have a great fish and pasta recipe smart? What brand of flour should I use?
I prefer Gold Metal flour ... I think it's cooked up the best. Ingredients: 4 potatoes, washed and quartered 1 pound fish (cod, halibut, pollock, etc.) Dough: 1 (12 fluid ounces) can beer 1 egg, beaten until fluffy 2 / 3 cup milk 1 c. tsp canola oil 1 tsp Tea baking powder 1 / 4 c. Tea cayenne pepper 1 / 4 c. tea salt 1 1 / 2 cups all purpose flour 1 / 2 cup flour for dipping oil canola for frying ---------------------------------- ------------ ---------------------------------- HOW TO USE: Pat wedges of potato with paper towels to remove the extra moisture and reduce splashing when frying. Add wedges to fryer when canola oil has reached temperature suitable for frying to 375 degrees F. Potatoes U.S. withdraw from canola oil using a slotted spoon when they reach a golden brown, drain on paper towels and season to taste. To prepare dough, combine the beer, egg, milk and oil canola. Add baking powder, cayenne pepper, salt and flour all at once, stirring just enough to moisten dry ingredients. Coat pieces fish before dipping in the fish meal in batter and place them in canola oil 375 degrees F for frying. Bake until golden about 6 minutes. Remove from canola oil using a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
