Do I really need to turn in a resume for a summer job?
I am seeking a casino in town. Do I really need a resume? I have no previous work experience, nor things to boast of high school. I feel that if I turn in a resume I would not do the job because they see me as a way too serious for someone looking for an interview part-time job. If I do, can someone point me in the right direction to make one?
I do not know why you feel that this would make you look too serious ..... are you afraid that the things you put on your CV is too important of a person or do you fear that you'll look like you are taking maintenance work part time too seriously? Even if you do not have previous work experience, you need to give something. Put your info in high school, GPA, etc. Then the list of courses you have taken that are relevant to employment. Note that if you are proficient in all foreign languages and to add additional skills to the base (typing speed - you never know if they could you want to do office work as many books as you can lift, etc.). You can also add personal characteristics such as' attitude positive "or" punctual ". If you participated in clubs, sports or volunteer experiences, and should go on your CV too. At Unless you're a total loser in high school, there should be something you can put there.
