How likely is it he will not bust for 5 hands in a row, how bout 6 or 7 or 8 or hands in a row with no busting (dealer)?
The dealer will bust rougly 28.2% of the time, depending on the rules at the casino. That means he will not bust 71.8% of the time.
To calculate the odds of going N hands without busting simply raise 0.718 to the Nth power and you get
1 hand = 0.718 = 71.8%
2 hands = 0.516 = 51.6%
3 hands = 0.370 = 37%
4 hands = 0.266 = 26.6%
5 hands = 0.191 = 19.1%
6 hands = 0.137 = 13.7%
7 hands = 0.098 = 9.8%
8 hands = 0.071 = 7.1%
9 hands = 0.051 = 5.1%
10 hands = 0.036 = 3.6%
