Live Roulette Rules
Learning to play roulette is quite simple and is based on understanding the available bets on the board and also knowing how to put them. The process of learning involves understanding the risks and calculating them to bet simply throughout the game. In this article “Live Roulette Rules”, provided by liveroulette.co.uk, we will look at roulette bets and how to place them.
The basic aim of roulette game is to place a bet on the number where the ball lands at the when the wheel has stopped spinning. The table is divided into sections. Every section has a number and a color. The bet can be placed on the precise number on which the ball will land or a number of other characteristics. For instance, you can bet that the number the ball will land on is even or odd, if it is within the first twelve numbers, or that it will land within a particular column of figures, a bet can even be placed on the color of the section such as red or black on which the ball will land, those adventurous may even wager on the ball finding the rare green section (number zero).
There are two types of bets that are made and there is no particular order in which they have to be placed. The types of roulette bets are the following:
Inside Bet – A Roulette Inside Bet is placed on figures that are on the internal area of the table. In this type, bets are placed on a particular number.
Outside Bet – On the external area of the table, there are another set of numbers. Bets on these numbers are called Roulette Outside Bets.
Rules of the Inside and Outside bets
Inside Bets in a roulette game are made of specific numbers or mergers of integers on the roulette figure layout or even along its boundary. You should keep in mind that the total of all your bets has to be at least equal to the board minimum, which is dependent on the stakes the casino is playing at. This is how it works: Suppose, the table you are playing at has a minimum of $5. You can place bets of $1 on five unique numbers or $5 on one number or any combination that falls in between. The point is that your bets should sum up to at least $5 on that table.
Straight-up bet – This is a simple roulette bet. What you do is choose on of the 37 numbers and put your chips on that number. This provides a chance to regain at 35 to 1.
Split bet – The rules of roulette permit you to place bets on two different numbers if the numbers are next to each other on the board. In order to do this, the chips are placed on the border between the two. The bet has a return 17 to 1 if any of the number is obtained.
Street bet – This is quite like the split bet. In this kind of bet, you can bet on 3 different numbers provided the bet on each is same and the numbers are sequential. This is done by placing chips on the line outside the numbers you want to bet on. Suppose, you wish to bet on the numbers 1, 2 , 3, put your chips on the line outside the number 3. The bet return is 11 to 1.
Square bet – In order to make this bet, the chip is placed on the junction of 0 and 3. If any number between 0 and three is returned, you win the bet with roulette reward 8 to 1.
Corner bet – The rules of roulette provide a chance for even different combinations. The roulette corner bet allows a bet to be placed upon four adjoining numbers. The chips are placed at a point common to the four numbers. This bet is also sometimes referred to as a square bet and the reward if any of the numbers come up is 8 to 1.
The roulette outside bets are the ones that are outside of the main 37 numbers. The difference between inside and outside bets is that you can't win an outside bet for zero result. Each outside bet must be equal to the board minimum and merging the rate of bids is not allowed. What this means is that suppose you desire to bet on odds and black, then you are required to put a minimum bet of $5 on both at a $5 minimum table. The outside bets can't be submitted to the inside bet total. Following are the various types of roulette outside bets:
Low or High – The rules of roulette permit you to bet on a range of numbers. The low or high lets you place a bet on whether the outcome of the spin will lie within 1 to 18 or 19 to 36. This is called an even money bet. Place the Roulette Chips in the cases with the required number range printed to place your bet.
Black or Red – It is also possible to bet on the color, red or black, of the result in roulette. Place the chips in diamond shaped areas on the table that are filled with red or black color. This is one of the most common roulette bet as the you get almost half an opportunity to win. There is one assumption that people make wrongly is that if the last five results were black, the chances of getting a red on the next one is greater than 50%. This is incorrect belief as the the wheel has no memory as such to recall what it has spun the last time and each spin is independent of the last. This bet is even paid.
Odd or Even – This is a similar bet to red or black bet. This is an even money bet based on whether the outcome is an even or an odd integer. Zero is not counted so there are 36 possible numbers with equal number of even and odd numbers. The bet is placed by placing the chip on the square marked even or the one marked odd. These are on either edge of black or red zones.
Columns – Cases with the words '2 to 1' in them are there at one end of the set of 37 numbers. Including the line up the body on the inside of betting area, each case is a part of a column of figures. When a figure within the column of your bet turns up you win and the reward is 2 to 1. Even though these are not grouped with others, these are still considered outside bets.
Dozen – This bet is very similar to a roulette column bet. Dozen has the provision of placing a bet on first dozen 1 to 12, second dozen 13 to 24, or the third dozen 25 to 36. Locate the areas situated between inside board spread and outside bets and place the chips in the rectangular areas. The labels are generally 1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd 12. This bet reward 2 to 1.
