This article is based on years of travel in and out of Las Vegas to visit some of most beautiful places on earth. Las Vegas can be a very cheap place to fly into.

For our budget, our trip to the airport in Las Vegas starting Sunday to Wednesday. The focus and goal of our journey is to get in the great outdoors. But, we like to stay the first couple of nights in Las Vegas, then the last two nights too, with the middle of the trip was spent visiting amazing places in the great Mohave Desert.
Once you've landed, you know you are in Las Vegas and are bombarded with visual animations. Everything is bright and flashing, it seems that the day even at night. Huge screens preview shows and entertainment available in town. When you exit the airport, you will find all modes of transport available in the street, including taxis, limousines and shuttles.
Over there are many hotels to choose from. Many Once I stayed on the strip at Tropicana Ave. Back at the car rental lot at the airport is minutes away from this part of the band. There many choices for hotels. There are thousands of hotel rooms and more being built every day. There are hotels on Las Vegas Boulevard, more just off the strip and just a few blocks from the strip in downtown Las Vegas. Fremont Street was canopied by tens of thousands lights. The hotel-casinos in this area near a neighborhood feel. The Night The Fremont Street Experience comes alive with lights and music. It almost feels like a neighborhood party.
Will you need a rental car? Several times, the best deal on the lease will be for a weekly rental. Even if you rent for only 4 days, the weekly rental is usually a better deal. Normally, the parking work over 24 hours. For example, if you look at 6 pm, your return would be 6 hours on the car is supposed to return. Several times, I'll fly to Las Vegas to take a cheap shuttle to the door of the hotel. Then the day I begin my weekly rentals, I take a taxi to the agency lease to take my car, taking care to pick it up at the same time of day that I'll be back the day I left. You can also consider renting your one auto leasing off-airport, the downtown locations. This can save on tax increases that are airport added to your rental at the site of the airport. The choice is your rental car, you may find they have a right Location at the hotel you choose to stay.
Las Vegas has a host of entertainment to enjoy, with shows that change from month to month. There much free to do as well. The sight of water at Beligio is fresh and interesting so appear by night from the Eiffel Tower. Everyone loves free volcano at the Mirage, the lion habitat at MGM, the scene before the IT style Mardi Gras show in Rio and so on. One of the first things I'm doing what I'm leaving town is find a large grocery store or local shopping. I buy a cooler and load on water, fruit, soft drinks, chips, snacks, napkins, plates, forks and meats. Several times, we have an inexpensive breakfast or lunch at the roadside. We will have a great dinner restaurant.
This is the Mojave, Sonoran, Chihuahuan and desert are in striking distance of your entry point Las Vegas. Some of these areas can be very hot in summer, but if you plan well and hit the higher elevations, it can be very comfortable. Remember this region can be wild and dangerous. Take all necessary precautions. This is the Mohave Desert, you'll need water. You do not want to get stuck in the sand, or let your car break down in a remote area. There are places on your cell phone not working not. If we go in all remote areas, to learn from them first and obtain the necessary permits. There are many canyons that are very beautiful. A slot is narrow passage through the cliff-lined canyons. This has been carved into the sandstone by water. Warning! If rain to 100 miles, you may not know the slot and you could be is where the water run. I have heard several stories people who are swept away and drowned because of lack of planning. When you are in a narrow canyon, there is no place to escape. Be smart and be careful. Take lots of pictures.
To the north there is another great little casino town right on the border of Nevada called Mesquite, NV. I found the prices of hotel room at lower price to the lower right. Mesquite has everything I need as a base of operations. The rooms are acceptable, casinos are modern and fun with swimming pools and amusement arcades, bowling and cinemas, without lots of traffic. The city has lots of buffets, gas stations, golf, etc. If you are planning a visit to Zion, still here is an easy drive up and back for a couple of excursions in the region. Several times I went with a group and we have enough to book some rooms.
As you head North on 15 you will see the Las Vegas Speedway home of NASCAR and Nellis Air Force Base. You'll probably see or hear air force jets flying around or landing as you travel beyond the base. The Thunderbirds have a presence here, and some funky looking and stealth Unmanned remotely piloted aircraft. Perhaps that is the whole area of UFO stuff is 51. If you're interested in learning more about mystery lights in the sky, looking at Groom Lake or Area 51.
The Valley of Fire State Park is in this way and just six miles from Lake Mead, it's 55 miles north of Las Vegas via Interstate 15 and exit 75. Valley of Fire is Nevada's oldest and largest state park, dedicated 1935. The Valley derives its name from the red sandstone formations and the stark beauty of the Mojave Desert. There are some really awesome campsites nested in the red rock cliffs. This is a place ideal to stretch your legs and do a little rock scrambling. It's about 30 minutes drive from the motorway exit. The Moapa Indian Reservation manages store exit.This right to be a stop to Nice bathrooms: they sell fireworks, have a small casino, duty free cigarettes and liquor in their little store.
If you continue north into Utah on I Highway 15 from Las Vegas, you can go to Zion National Park. It's just a few hours north of Las Vegas and can make a trip a great day. April to October of the environment provides shuttle bus access transportation in the park. Automotive Other months are allowed in. There is a road RT 9 through the park and the park is open to traffic all year. If you might be planning a hike in the Virgin River and upstream to talk to Rangers first. Our last trip water levels were too high and not safe. After you turn of Zion, be sure to take RT. 9 through tunnels and the scenery changes completely after the tunnel. It's like another planet. The second day we visited the plateau of Mount Zion, where we found a station and has paid all day pass to ride their bike, the use of their pool, play paintball, wall climbing, etc.
From there, you now need to plan your trip based on how long you're traveling d '. You can reach Bryce Canyon Nation Park or you could go to the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Lake Powell even the Grand Canyon. I normally take Utah Highway 89, if I'm going to Lake Powell and the return just to see a landscape more I return to Las Vegas using Arizona ALT Highway 89.
Utah south on Highway 89 either Zion or Bryce, you'll see a turn off to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. Here the pink sand worn off the cliffs of sandstone was deposited by the winds of the creation of 3,000 acres of sand dunes. Continuing on Highway 89 is the town of Kanab, Utah. A visiting them in the region is the Paria and Johnson Canyon Movie Set where more than 300 films and television shows were filmed.
This area is called the Arizona Strip. We visited the Glen Canyon Dam which created Lake Powell. Lake Powell has 2000 miles of coastline and canyons, etc. We hired a speedboat for the day at the marina. When you watch boat rentals, you must decide if you want to rent at the marina where the boat is in water or another location where you may have to tow or arrange for the boat to be launched. You may choose not not have a hotel / condo and living on a barge. The sun is strong and many of sunscreen and sunscreen should be used for. Many people visit Rainbow Bridge and is the largest natural bridge in the world.
Antelope Canyon is a Page, Arizona photographer possibility. This is the most spectacular slot Canyon, I have visited. The sandstone colors are incredible and many people are affected by this natural cathedral that the Navajo have cherished for years. When the sun is directly over head, beams of light can then shine into the canyon.
I would go back to Las Vegas using alt Z 89 Page, AZ. Be sure to turn on Alt 89 or you will continue south toward Flagstaff, Arizona. Take this road you'll travel past the Vermilion Cliffs. As you continue on Highway 89 alt you have the chance Jacobs Lake, disable it if you're interested in visiting the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I timed my last trip so we can overnight at the Lodge. We presented the afternoon, watching the sunset, stayed in a cottage near the rim. We ate at the dining room with stunning views. You'll need reservations or you'll be out of luck.
From there, you do not mind returning to the highway 15 and your return trip to Las Vegas.
